Brenda Nicole Moorer

Brenda Nicole Moorer is a vocalist, songwriter, and actor. Since making her debut in 2011 she has experimented with musical boundaries, exploring jazz to soul, striving for authentic voice and expression. She came to media attention after releasing her 2015, jazz influenced EP “For Lovers & Believers,” followed by her album “Brand New Heart” which featured Chris Turner from Snarky Puppy. She has shared stages with Christian McBride, Roy Ayers, Incognito, performed at the Atlanta Jazz Festival, Capital Jazz, High Museum of Art, and Good Day Atlanta. Winner of Creative Loafing’s Best Jazz vocalist award, and South Art’s Jazz Roads, and USA Music, her work has garnered attention from Gilles Peterson, NPR, Ebony, and Afropunk. Her latest work, a collaborative concept jazz record entitled MARROW, will release on Ropeadope Records, produced by Troy Miller (Gregory Porter, Jacob Collier). She has appeared as a vocalist in tv shows “Greenleaf”, “Star” and a supporting role as Brenda Franklin in the Aretha Franklin biopic “RESPECT.”
